Mission Statement
To provide individuals and groups with an understanding and working knowledge of their chosen beauty discipline. This is achieved through the delivery of quality teaching and by the use of short workshops, lectures, guided learning times and handouts, with a student to tutor ratio of no more than 10:1.

Health & Safety Policy
- To provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our courses and workshops, in the classroom, and in the use of equipment, through risk analysis.

Liability Limitation
Star Beauty Schools aims to provide a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience in all of our workshops.
We assume no liability for any act, error, omission, injury, loss, delay, mishap, or damage to persons or property arising from any cause during the course of a Star Beauty Schools workshop or in transit thereto.
We reserve the right to change our itinerary should conditions necessitate, or to cancel any aspect of the workshop due to exceptional circumstances, and can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in the services to be provided. In the event that we deem it necessary to cancel the workshop we will provide a full refund which the participant acknowledges as full and final settlement.
By joining our course you acknowledge that you have read the above information concerning responsibility and release Star Beauty Schools from any liability. Star Beauty Schools will assume no liability for injury, illness, or loss of personal property or expenses thereof associated with their workshops.
Processing of Applications
- Star Beauty Schools will not take responsibility for delayed postal payments. Star Beauty Schools accepts phone payments through our secure payment system.
- Course bookings are processed on first come first served basis.
- To secure your place on a course, a completed online booking form and £50 deposit (non refundable) needs to be received by Star Beauty Schools.
- Enrolment in to our online learning zone can only be completed when full payment is made.
- Any balance of payment is due 14 days prior to the course start date. If any balance is not received by this time, all fees paid will be forfeited and the course place may be cancelled.
Cancellations / Transfer Policy / Missed Sessions
The following penalties apply for course cancellations, transfers and missed session:
- We reserve the right to withhold all fees paid for cancellation of a course prior to starting.
- Cancelling within 3 days of the course start date would be deemed as non-attendance.
- Booking dates may be transferred free of charge, subject to availability. We require at least two weeks notice.
- Non-attendance, will incur 100% of fees paid. Any claims of illness must be backed up with a note from the hospital or a doctors note.
- Multi session courses require the student to attend all sessions; missed sessions need to be made up before the next course session. This will need to be done with a one to one session at an additional cost of £50 per hour.
- Star Beauty Schools is under no obligation to offer a transfer or refund any fees paid.
Certification
Certificates are issued in the name stated within the student area. If you require a replacement certificate a £5.00 fee is payable. Star Beauty Schools will issue certificates at the end of your course. This can only be done if you have completed the online test. Tests can be completed after the practical session but then you would need to pick up your certificate or it can be posted to you for a fee of £5.
Changed to Personal Details
It is your responsibility to ensure that personal within your student area are correct and up to date. Star Beauty Schools will not be liable for any errors due to incorrect personal information.
Individual Needs
If you feel you need additional support with particular learning needs e.g. physical disability, hearing impairment or literacy skills, please could you inform us of your individual needs on a separate piece of paper, attached to the booking form. We will contact you to discuss you requirements.
Materials
We supply all the materials needed to complete the course lessons. All students would benefit from practice in between sessions. Your tutor will advise you on products and suppliers
Uniform
Star Beauty Schools has a relaxed dress code, if you have a uniform please wear it. Sensible flat shoes are required. Please wear all long hair tied back.
Refreshments
Tea/coffee will be provided on all courses. On full day courses we include a light buffet lunch which is served during the 1/2 hour lunch break. Any special requirements we will try to accommodate, please liaise with you tutor in the morning prior to the buffet being ordered. You are free to bring your own packed lunch with you, but no take away foods are allowed.
What You Can Expect From Us
- To supply a fully qualified tutor ready to teach who is available for the full duration of the course
- To have equipment fully available (everything you need to complete a course is supplied)
- To supply refreshments, lunch and toilet facilities
- Receive full back up even after the course is completed
- Your certificate on the day of completion (provided you have passed the theory and practical)
What We Expect From You
- To arrive on time ready to learn
- To have read through the learning materials and completed the test
- To have read through the particular requirements for each course and adhere to them (ie 2 weeks hair growth for waxing)
- To keep mobile phones on silent and not use them whilst learning (they can be kept on for emergencies)
- To inform us well in advance if any changes need to be made to course dates
- To inform us of any contra-indications, special requirements etc before the start date
