Deep Tissue Massage allows you to work deeper into the tissue of the client. You will use not only your hands but elbows and forearms, reducing the strain on your hands with normal massage.
Students are required to have a previous Swedish or Body Massage or A&P qualification.
No model is required for the practical session, as you will give and receive this treatment. Please scroll down for dates for this course.
This course comprises:
1/2 day – Home learning
1 day – Practical session and assessment
1/2 day – Review session (non-compulsory)
Home learning – Comprises of online learning materials and links to industry standards websites. These need to be read and the websites visited and explored. There is also an online test that needs to be completed before the practical session.
Practial Session
Morning – Practical training and demonstrations
Lunch – 30 minute lunch break. Please check our center pages to see if there are cafes local or if you need to take a packed lunch.
Afternoon – Give and receive deep tissue massage treatment
Review session – This is a non-compulsory aspect of your course, and should be viewed as ongoing support and a problem solving session. These session are run on a regular basis and need to pre-booked.

You will be issued with your certificate at the end of the practical session, provided the home learning aspect of the course has been completed.
We do not like to cancel courses. So if you are the only student booked on the course we will complete your course with a one to one session with your tutor. Although we ask you to bring a model with you and you will possibly finish earlier.
